AssameseIt is luscious, creamy and healthy, all thanks to the black rice used to make it. However, adding sugar to this dessert may balance out the benefits that you receive. To make this recipe even more healthy, we have replaced sugar with Sugar Free Green, which offers natural sweetness to the dessert and helps people avoid the unwanted calories. Moreover, this is a perfect recipe for those looking for vegan options as it uses almond milk instead of cow’s milk.
Let’s try this Healthy Black Rice Kheer recipe now!
Take soaked black rice in a blender jar, add ½ cup water and crush it lightly.
Heat a nonstick pan. Add the crushed rice and almond milk and cook on medium heat for 20-25 minutes or till the mixture thickens. Make sure you stir the mixture at regular intervals of time.
Add green cardamom powder and mix. Add Sugar Free Green and mix well. Add raisins and mix.
Transfer the prepared kheer in individual bowls. Garnish with pistachio slivers.
Serve warm or chilled.
