Step-by-Step instructions for how to make New York Cheesecake

Step 1

Preheat the oven at 160°C. Line the base of a spring bottom cake tin with aluminium foil.

Step 2

Take biscuit crumbs in a bowl. Add melted butter and mix well. Add this mixture at the base of the cake tin and press evenly. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3

Take cream cheese in a bowl. Add Sugar Free Green Stevia and beat with an electric beater till light and fluffy

Step 4

Add eggs one by one and beat till well incorporated.

Step 5

Add fresh cream, vanilla extract and zest the lemon directly in the bowl. Beat again.

Step 6

Add cornflour and refined flour and mix. Pour the prepared batter on the base of biscuit crumbs and place on a baking tray. Cover with aluminium foil and add some water to the baking tray to create water bath.

Step 7

Bake for 1 hour. Allow to cool completely and refrigerate for 3-4 hours.

Step 8

Demould, cut into wedges and serve.

Cooking Tips

  • Press the biscuit-butter mixture firmly and evenly.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature before beating.
