Step-by-Step instructions for how to make Apple Pecan Pie

Step 1

Peel and cut the apples into ½ cm pieces.

Step 2

To make the crust, take refined flour in a bowl. Add salt, Sugar Free green Stevia and butter and mix till the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add 1 tbsp chilled water and knead to semi-stiff dough. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Step 3

To make the filling, heat a nonstick pan. Add apples, Sugar Free Green Stevia, cinnamon powder and cook for 6-8 minutes or till apples soften.

Step 4

Dust some refined flour on the work top and roll the dough into semi thick sheet. Line in small pie tins and press the edges well. Remove excess dough. Refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.

Step 5

Preheat oven at 180˚C.

Step 6

Add pecan nuts to apple mixture and mix well.

Step 7

Place a piece of a butter paper in each pie and add some baking beans. Bake in preheated oven for 15 minutes. Remove the beans, add apple filling and sprinkle sugar free cake crumbs on top.

Step 8

Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Serve warm.
