About Ragi Kheer
- Ragi Kheer combines the rich traditions of Indian cuisine with a contemporary focus on health and wellness. Ragi, or finger millet, is a grain known for its high calcium and fiber content, making it an excellent choice for maintaining bone health and aiding digestion. Traditionally, ragi is incorporated into a variety of savory and sweet dishes across India, but its use in desserts like kheer has become increasingly popular due to its unique taste and health benefits.
- In Ragi Kheer, ragi is soaked for hours to soften, then blended and cooked with milk to create a creamy base. Instead of sugar, this recipe uses Sugar Free Green Powder, derived from stevia, for a sweet taste without extra calories. The green cardamom powder infuses the kheer with a warm, inviting aroma, and a mix of nuts like almonds and pistachios add crunch and additional nutrients. The rose petal garnish adds a delicate floral touch, making the dish as visually appealing as it is tasty.
